ATHENA — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

ATHENA is a strength-training tracker. This policy explains, in plain terms, what data the app handles.

The short version: Your workout data is yours. It lives on your device and in your personal iCloud — we can’t see it. No ads, no selling your data, no tracking you across other apps. The app sends us anonymous crash reports and feature-usage counts so we can fix bugs and improve the app — never your weights, reps, or health data.

What the app stores

Apple Health (optional)

If you turn on the Apple Health connection, ATHENA can read your heart rate during a workout (for the live display) and save your finished workouts and body weight into Apple Health. This data moves only between the app and Apple Health on your device — it is never sent to us or to any third party, and it is never included in analytics.

Diagnostics & analytics (what we DO collect)

To keep the app stable and understand which features matter, the app sends limited, privacy-conscious data to these services:

Crews (optional social feature)

If you create or join a Crew (an invite-only group), the app shares a limited summary with that crew’s members:

These are stored in a shared iCloud database so your crew members can see them. You can turn sharing off or leave a crew at any time, which removes your shared data. If you report a member, we receive that report (the accounts involved and the reason) so we can review and act on it.

What we do NOT do

Notifications

The app can send local reminders (training-day nudges, rest-timer alerts). These are generated on your device; we don’t see them. You control them in iOS Settings.

Your control & deletion

Children

ATHENA is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change.
